I felt so horrible getting him declawed, but we tried everything to get him to stop, it was either give him away and he spends the rest of his life in a shelter, or get him declawed. I still feel bad about it, but I just give him that much more love and treats and pets and cuddles. He is my sweet hyper baby who likes to give hugs, and as weird as it seems I’ve seen an improvement in his behavior since then, and not because he cants scratch things either. Back off I have a crazy Mom she has anger issues shirt. Deb Ratner except that I regularly do all those things, I keep them very entertained. That’s just how some cats are. They also have multiple cat scratching posts, all different kinds, that they love and use, but still sometimes choose the couch or the carpet over their posts.
