Well considering that before dogs, there were only wild canine species and therefore wolfdogs, such as these that display signs of both wolves and dogs and of neither, couldn’t have existed. So I am sure that the transition from wild wolves to “domesticated canine helper” was much slower and encountered many more clashes between both human and canine species. Yo wolves and dogs share a common ancestor meaning they have always co-existed. Dogs aren't a descendant from wolves theres no direct lineage. My favorite dog we ever had was our wolf/shepherd hybrid. His family split when my friend (their little boy) died. So his family gave him to us. I was 5 and Champ was my best friend and fierce protector. I loved him. These wolfdogs are not just dogs…. They are so much more. They’re beautiful complex creatures. So glad this doggy is doing well in his new home
