As for humans not being compassionate, need look no further than the incredible saving of 13 boys and their soccer coach in Thailand to give us a sense of the better angels of our nature. That said, not every human is compassionate by a long shot. Reppin the north bears shirt. This is exactly my thought! Fair enough with the elephant but the rest could have been given a hand. The guy with the deer can’t swim maybe, the tortoise and the orangutan is behind stone/glass walls at the zoo and sure as hell you don’t want to get close to a crying baby elephant when his family is near. Don’t judge other people’s reactions or lack of reactions if you weren’t there. In most of the situations featured I don’t think the people were able to help bc it looks like they occurred at zoos.
