Animals will adopt you not the other way around. I have a ten-month-old Kitty who my stray cats brought home. He was about 6 to 8 weeks old. And hung out on my front steps. And when I walked my dogs he would follow us and tried to play with them. I brought him in on a rainy day. Took him to the vet and he never wants to go out. Has no desire to go out at all. Loves the cat house I bought for him and the rest is history. You can tell me what to do you’re not my grandbaby shirt. I totally agree. I just lost my Cookie cat of 17 years. We had to put her to sleep due to health reasons….very sad day. I feel she had a soul connection with me, we were connected. With her gone, I feel like I’m missing something. I’ve never felt that way with any other cat I’ve ever had. So now I’m looking for my next kindred animal cat. I have to feel a connection before I take them home even though I do think they all are precious
